Sunday Morning. I was thinking. I've had so many friends who have gotten caught up in bad relationships and it has consumed their life. If he's nice to them, they are the happiest girl in the world and if he is mean to them, they are the most miserable girl in the world. Funny how one person can affect your life so drastically. I have been there many times, and it only reinforces my mantra of be careful who you let into your life. But what is true love? Because someone lies to you do they not love you? Because they hurt you physically and/or mentally over and over do they not love you? Or do they love you too much? I have no idea why people do the things they do. Everyone has a different story and their own issues. All I know is that I believe telling someone you love them and bringing hurt and mistrust into the relationship is cruel. To look into someones eyes and reassure them that everything they fear is pointless and then go do the exact thing you just promised them you would never do is cruel. It's like sometimes we hang onto the hope that our prince will arrive. Well...how long do you hope it actually exists? To get back up and carry on after disaster only makes you stronger, but in what way? Do you resist more? Are less trusting? When after so many times of being broken do you stay that way? I wonder how many people have given up or how many people just figure "well this is the best I'm gonna get."? Of all the couples in the world how many have true love? How many people love themselves?
